On April 20, 2026, in Ankara, an important milestone was reached with the official signing of the Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO) agreement between the governments of Norway and Türkiye 🇳🇴🇹🇷.
EAST Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Norway was proud to take part in the business roundtable held alongside this occasion, bringing together representatives from both countries to strengthen dialogue and explore new opportunities for cooperation.
The establishment of JETCO marks a significant step forward in enhancing trade relations and creating a structured framework for collaboration in key sectors such as maritime, aquaculture, energy, investment, and technology.
For our members—many already active in the Norwegian–Turkish business corridor—this represents not just a formal agreement, but a real opportunity to improve market access, address barriers to trade, and build long-term partnerships.
