From May 18 to 22, 2026, the EAST Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Norway organized a Market Visit to Kazakhstan, with valuable support from the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Oslo.

The program, held in Almaty and Astana, brought together government representatives, business leaders, and companies from both Norway and Kazakhstan to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore new opportunities across key sectors, including energy, aquaculture, logistics, sustainable infrastructure, and renewable energy.

A key highlight of the visit was the II Kazakhstan–Norway Business Council held in Astana on May 21 — the first time the Business Council was hosted in Kazakhstan, organized in close collaboration with Atameken/Astana CCI. The event demonstrated the growing interest in trade, investment, and long-term partnerships between our two countries.

The Kazakhstan–Norway Business Council, established in December 2024, has become an important platform connecting the business communities of both nations. The first meeting took place in Oslo in 2025, while this second meeting in Astana marked another important step forward in bilateral cooperation.

It was inspiring to see the strong participation from both Norwegian and Kazakhstani companies, reflecting the increasing interest in collaboration and business development between the two markets.
With bilateral trade reaching USD 170 million in 2025 and trade turnover continuing to grow, the outlook for Kazakhstan–Norway cooperation is highly promising.

A sincere thank you to all organizers, partners, speakers, and participants for productive meetings, insightful discussions, and valuable networking opportunities throughout Almaty and Astana.
