On June 5th, 2024, the EAST CCI of Norway held its Annual Meeting and Summer Event, focusing on unlocking business potential in the Black Sea region. Marit Hiim Haugseth, Chair of the Board of Directors, opened the meeting with a review of 2023 Activities and accounts, followed by an outline of the Chamber’s upcoming initiatives.
A highlight of the event was a panel discussion titled “Unlocking Business Potential: Opportunities in the Black Sea Region,” moderated by Svein Stolpestad, Deputy Chair of the Board and Group Vice President – Strategy & Sustainability at Jotun.

- Kazakhstan by His Excellency Adil Tursunov
- Turkey by Commercial Counsellor Ceren Firat
The discussion addressed the impact of current global uncertainties on business opportunities in the Black Sea region.
Key topics included potential areas of growth, anticipated challenges, and strategies for overcoming these obstacles. Panelists provided insights and recommendations for Norwegian businesses looking to expand into this relatively untapped market.
The event concluded with a networking session, reinforcing the Chamber’s commitment to fostering international business relations and exploring new markets for Norwegian companies.
