AGREEMENT ON ESTABLISHMENT OF KAZAKHSTAN-NORWEGIAN BUSINESS COUNCIL

On December 3, 2024, a significant milestone in the development of Kazakhstan-Norwegian business relations was achieved with the signing of a agreement between the EAST CCI of Norway and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan. The Agreement was signed by Murat Karimzakov, Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and Marit Hiim Haugseth, Chair of the Board of EAST CCI of Norway.

The event was held in an online format, during which key aspects of the establishment of the Kazakhstan-Norwegian Business Council were presented. The primary goal of the Council will be to strengthen bilateral cooperation, attract investments, and implement joint projects in several strategic areas.

Murat Karimzakov noted that the signed memorandum will serve as a starting point for deepening the interaction between the business communities of both countries. The new business council will provide a platform for dialogue, exhibitions, and business forums.

“Today’s event is a testament to our shared commitment to sustainable development and successful partnership. We are confident that the Kazakhstan-Norwegian Business Council will be an effective tool for realizing joint initiatives and strengthening economic ties,” emphasized Murat Karimzakov.

The signing of the agreement marks a new phase in the development of economic relations between Kazakhstan and Norway, opening up new opportunities for business and investment.
