On January 23, the first post-holiday traditional networking meeting in 2024 took place at Litteraturhuset in Oslo. Key highlights included discussions on the evolving dynamics in the High North by Hedda Langemyr, Director of UTSYN, emphasizing heightened tension and market shifts to the Baltic and Southeast regions.
Roman Vinartshuk, Advisor to the Management Board at BLRT GRUPP, shared insights into export possibilities for the Norwegian maritime industry in the Baltic region.
BLRT Grupp is one of the largest industrial holdings in the Baltic Sea region. Today, it unites more than 4000 employees, 50 subsidiaries and 4 joint ventures in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Norway, and Ukraine.
BLRT Grupp has established itself as a leading choice in shipbuilding, ship repairing, steelwork manufacturing, metal product processing and sales, and mechanical engineering. The shipyard group became a member of the East CCI last year and is also represented in our Board of Directors.
The Norwegian Green Maritime Business Cluster, organised by EAST CCI – that organised a maritime delegation visit to BLRT Grupp last year, is planning further maritime cooperation in the Baltics.
New ideas for joint industrial projects were also discussed with members from other related sectors.
Eirik Lønmo-Egeland, Managing Director of the Norwegian Water Cluster – Vannklyngen, addressed the possibilities and challenges in shaping the future of the water sector. He looked forward to close cooperation between Norwegian Water Cluster and EAST CCI.
Hans-Olav Rekdal, Managing Director, EAST CCI, provided an overview of the outlook and planned activities of East CCI of Norway for the year 2024.
The meeting concluded with a networking session, allowing participants to engage in further discussions while enjoying refreshments. The audience expressed their satisfaction related to the advantages of meeting other members in person where MOUs where discussed.
